M.Sc in Psychology
The Masters Programme in Psychology is a two year programme spread over four semesters and aims at preparing individuals to work in clinical, child guidance or industrial settings and function as psychologists providing psychological assessments and therapies suited to the needs of the organisations and clients they work with. Emphasis is placed on developing professional competencies through supervised project work and practicum.
Students are provided with opportunities to deal with professional and personal challenges through mentoring programmes, vists to clinical and organizational settings, suited to the student’s area of specialization. Specialisation is offered in clinical psychology, child guidance and organizational psychology.
Eligibility:40% marks in the aggregate of all the optional subjects at the Bachelors (BA/B.Sc.) level with psychology as one of the subjects and 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in the cognate subject. Admissions are made based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test and interview conducted by the admission committee.
