M.Sc Counselling Psychology
The Masters Programme in Counselling Psychology is a two-year programme. It is spread over four semesters. This is designed to provide students with a sound foundation for the practice of counselling, with multifaceted focus on psychological, mental health and human development principles and examine cognitive, affective, behavioural and systemic treatment methods. It trains the students to be ethical, effective, skilled and culturally sensitive professionals able to function in a variety of settings with diverse client populations.
In addition to the fulfillment of the academic requirements, the students are prepared to pursue academic and research careers as well. A major emphasis is given to personal growth and awareness as well as skills training and integration. Students are provided with opportunities to the improve their personal awareness through workshops, mentoring programmes and personal counselling services.

Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline.

Legal Status
Martin Luther Christian University was created by Act No. 11 of 2005, of the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya and received the assent of the Governor on July 6, 2005. The Government of Meghalaya issued gazette notification on February 22, 2006. Creation of this university is in accordance with the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 under Section 2(f) and the university is empowered to grant degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act.
